    Suchness: as it is — A Solo Exhibition of Ceramic and Mixed-Media Works by ICID Doctoral Student Yueh-Lin Yang

    Yueh-Lin Yang, an ICID doctoral student, presents a solo exhibition at NCKU’s Art Gallery. Combining ceramics, glass and screen printing, his works explore organic forms and traces of time, inviting viewers to reconnect with nature. The exhibition poster, designed by fellow student Dalton Bruyns, reflects international collaboration within the institute.

    NOSIGNER Founder Eisuke Tachikawa Visits NCKU ICID: From Climate Adaptation to Evolutional Creativity in the Age of AI

    In September 2026, NOSIGNER founder Eisuke Tachikawa visited NCKU’s ICID, sharing climate adaptation and Evolutional Creativity. Through lectures, workshops and AI experiments, students developed ideas addressing Tainan’s urban challenges while exploring how variation, selection and judgement can guide design in changing environments and strengthen exchanges between practice, education and research.

    From WDC Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 to Tainan: Felix Kosok and ICID Explore City Design Power

    In September 2026, ICID welcomed Professor Felix Kosok for lectures and workshops on City Design Power. Drawing on World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026, students explored Tainan’s urban systems, identified design challenges, and examined how design can strengthen citizen participation, cross-disciplinary collaboration and collective action towards future urban development.

    ICID Students Complete Arts Internship at Loughborough University and Curate Their First UK Gallery Exhibition

    ICID students joined a five-week arts internship at Loughborough University, exploring “Ecologies” through fieldwork and creative practice. Their exhibition, Unbounded — Coexistence, presented five series of works at MPND Gallery, combining diverse media and Taiwanese cultural elements while building experience in curation, intercultural collaboration and engagement with the local arts community.
